He Gives with Peace

I always love to gist about the events in my life here on my blog. So I am here today with one of such gists.

My Gist

This past weekend was one of my most memorable weekends on earth. In fact, I am still reliving all I went through. You know how that an event can just practically shake you and make you go through various sessions in the shortest time? That was what I experienced.

So I have been trusting God for a particular thing, this has been my heart felt prayers for a while now.

And guess what?

It felt like I came so close to touching it. I won’t even bore you with the details of how everything went, but after I could say I had received what I had been asking for, I started to feel very anxious. I was practically restless. I didn’t know if to say I had received the answer, but I felt a mix of joy, anxiety, and of course panic.

Immediately, I chatted with one of my best friends. I told her how I was feeling. I narrated the whole experience to her, and indeed she gave me wise counsel. We prayed together about the matter, and life moved on.

You know how the mind can be?

Even after praying, I still found my heart going back to the matter. I opened the Bible to find a similar story to what I was going through. I prayed, I listened to messages from preachers, just to get an answer. To know if I was right on track.

In all of this, I realised that when God gives, he brings peace with it. And that for no reason should I feel agitated about anything.

Can I tell you the truth?

I haven’t still gotten a firm answer on the subject matter. But one thing I have come to realise is that, whatever God is giving will come with so much peace.

And then these words came comforting:

I will not make you powerless in the pursuit of happiness

Dear friend,

Whatever it is you are trusting God for, and it seems you don’t know whether or not the answer has come, can you please do the following:

1. Speak to God about it

2. Wait on God to hear him speak

3. Search the scriptures for answers to the questions on your heart

God is love and he is willing to lead us through love. Never forget that whatever he gives, comes with peace of mind.

Selah..

  • Amen.
