The Love Nature of God by Titilope Olagbaye

Hey there, let’s share some truth on the Love Nature of God.

I’m sure you must have heard it preached time and again that God will NEVER give up on us. I mean, even in our worst state, He is for us! Even when we stray from his will, we do not stand condemned. Even when we mess up, He’s willing to clean us up to the point that it would look as though we never messed up in the first place. Even when we are unfaithful and ungrateful, he’s never mad at us.

Never forget this

God is for us! He’s for us!! He’s for us!!! Oh glory to God!

So have you ever sat down to ask yourself why God loves us so much? If you are like me (I love asking questions a lot, sometimes rhetorically), you would have thought about it at one time or the other. Why is God so reckless in loving? Why give without holding back even when the recipients seem so undeserving? Why go all the way? What exactly motivates Him?

Come to think of it, for anyone to do anything, there must be a drive/ motive right? We all know that every action is backed up by some sort of motivation. Motivation is the reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way. For God, his Love for us isn’t really about some selfish motivation.

The Holy Bible makes us understand that God is Love. This implies that Love is God’s nature! When we talk about someone’s nature.  We are talking about the basic or inherent feature or makeup of the person. In other words, it is simply who He is. He can’t do otherwise. Love is His default!

“Love is inherent in God’s makeup “

Let’s dive in a bit further into the Love Nature of God

For example, no matter what you say or do to a dog. It can’t respond in vocabulary or respond by bleating. It will simply bark. There is no “dos or don’ts” of any animal or humans that can change that. It is in its nature. You see, God does not relate with us based on who we are or what we do, No! He relates to us based on who He is! Hallelujah!

And that’s why even when man disobeyed in the  Garden of Eden and declared independence from God, He could still not watch man forever be in that fallen state. He could only respond in Love by sending his son to die for man …

See this

Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. You see, God can’t do otherwise. We were far from being lovable, yet he demonstrated that extent of love for us. Stop trying to earn God’s love. It’s a baseless effort. God is love! That’s who he is! A major lesson for us to learn about the Love Nature of God is;

He CANNOT hate!

Do you know that even seemingly tough situations that we go through sometimes as believers are never out of God’s wickedness?

Let’s see this

Hebrews 12:8 (KJV); But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. To further buttress this, there is a popular saying that ”It’ s the child a father loves he chastises”.

The  NLT rendition of this same scripture is so enlightening;

Hebrews 12: 8; If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children after all…. wowwww. So you see that God disciplines his children. Yes, he does. But be rest assured that even when he disciplines us, all his moves springs from His love nature.

So the next time you are in doubt of God’s love for you, because of what you have done or how you have lived your life, always remember that when it comes to the love of God, it’s not something to be earned… it’s not about you really, it’s more about Him. hallelujah!!!!

In Conclusion

Love is who God is, its the very core of His being. Anyone that comes to him can only be treated in one way, and that is WITH LOVE. So when we look at any man no matter their state and say “God loves you”..know that it’s not a cliché, God truly loves them.

So my friend, If you will come to Him today through Christ, you can be sure you will experience a lifetime journey of love with the Father.
