Fellow believer, do you know that:
Romans 8:1, says clearly that- There is therefore now no condemnation, for they who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Simply meaning that under no condition should a believe feel condemned.
If this is true, why do believers still go about with clog of guilt over every and any issue?
From personal experience, I have come to realise that the provision for living a guilt-free life has already been made available to every believer, but it all depends on whether we accept it or not.
But then, the knowledge of our justification does not give us a warrant to sin? It doesn’t and will never be.
You know as powerful and liberating as God’s word is, many often think that it isn’t sufficient enough to erase the pain, guilt and hurt they have faced in the past. Often times, the way condemnation happens is that people begin to feel unworthy of approaching God in the place of prayers and even fellowshipping with him.
But you know what?
This is a big tactic the devil uses to destabilize people and get them disconnected from their source- God. Even by common thinking, will running away from the one who has the power to cleanse and save you be the solution to the guilt you feel inside after a fall? I doubt it!!
And even if you sin, or even make costly mistakes, God does not condemn you. Often times, the voice you hear inside your mind is the devil telling you how terrible you are because of what you did.
If God sent his Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sin, will he not be willing to restore us back to the Father, even after a fall? He sure will.
The kind of life we now live as believers who have been purchased by the blood of Jesus is one that gives us direct access to our father. Whenever we find ourselves doing things that we are not so proud of, it is not the time to run away from God and assume that he is angry with you. He doesn’t condemn you, he only wants you to come to him and receive his abundant grace and love all over again.
Never forget, regardless of what you have done, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!..So live free
