This is how I know God loves me

God loves me
God loves me

This is how I know God loves me
I have been through a lot in life
Maybe not as much as some others
I have traveled lonely paths
And walked through valleys all alone
But still, I am still alive

This is how I know God loves me
When I sleep at night
And think tomorrow will never come
Or times when I have lost all hope
And hoping for a miracle
He sends me a good Samaritan
With a jar of cookies

This is how I know God loves me
When I need someone to talk to
And deeply have burdens and heartaches
He sends a friend to call me
From a distant far away

This is how I know God loves me
When I am at the crossroad of decisions
And I am so unsure of the right moves to make
Times left feels right, and right like left
I switch to the TV just to relax
And immediately, I get insight on who to call to get direction

This is how I know God loves me
Days I have spent my last kobo
And just waiting for salary alert to enter
But while IT tarries
A colleague at work chooses to celebrate his birthday
With enough goodies for all to munch and drink

Now this is how I know God loves me
I have gone through many sprints and springs in life
I had eaten my widow’s mite many a times
And lived hoping for a miracle

God truly loves me
He not only gave me His word to keep
But sent me his Holy Spirit of promise
For I know that, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I will fear no evil
His everlasting love is always there to see me through
